Electric Dreams of Tokyo

from Debut by Andy Stochansky

/

about

Electric Dreams Tokyo is my fan letter to Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama
She is very open about her mental illness and how she uses her art as therapy to deal with life and to actually turn it into a positive thing.
That’s why I came up with the lyric:
“You flipped the charge
So you could march
To the sound of your own drum”

I only wish more people could do that

lyrics

Electric Dreams of Tokyo

Your heart beats like a telescope
So loud with everything so close
Broken wings
But you sewed them back
No bandages or safety net

You flipped the charge
So you could march
To the sound of your own drum.

Electric dreams of Tokyo
Supersonic Kool-Aid star
Don’t wanna leave the afterglow
I’ll stand here.
All I have is melody
I’ll be the boy who brings you symphonies

Magical
All this gold from dirt
You let it shine in hyper colour universe
You make-believe
Then you colour in
But don’t want to world to follow in adrenaline

You flipped the charge
So you could march
To the sound of your own drum
